Excavation and Trenching
Course Description
This course is designed to develop the participant's:
- Awareness of the risks associated with Excavation and trenching
- Knowledge of Excavation and trenching safe work practices
- Understanding of the control measures required for Excavation and trenching
Training shall consist of a combination of formal instruction (e.g., lecture, discussion, interactive, video, written material). Each candidate will undergo a theory assessment (multiple-choice questions) at the end of the course.
Course Objective
By the end of this course participants should be able to:
- Understanding trenching and excavation definitions
- Understanding roles and responsibilities for personnel involved in trenching and excavation activities
- Identifying job site safety and pre-job considerations for excavation and trenching activities
- Emergency & Rescue requirements
- Documentation requirements
Target Audience
The course is aimed at personnel performing or supervising excavation activities
